State Dues

  • Branch checks for state dues should be made payable to AAUW NYS.
  • State dues for new and renewing members may be combined in one check.
  • Branch Dues Reports are due July 1. The forms are available here - either as an online Word form or as a pdf file for you to print.
  • Promptly remit dues as received throughout the year. Delayed receipt of dues results in missed state and national publications and communications. Dues rates vary by membership code and join date. Consult the three tables below:
    • New Members
    • Shape the Future Events New Members
    • Renewal Members
  • Send state dues, along with a copy of the Branch Dues Report (BDR) or Additional Dues Report (ADR) and other substantiating documentation to the membership liaison: Ms. Phoebe Forbes, 1435 Riverside Rd., Frewsburg, NY 14738.

National Dues Notes

  • Member-Get-A-Member Campaign (MGM) – "MGM" should be entered in the "Code and /or ID#" column, top box, on the left-hand side of the ADR. Under the code should be both the name of the recruiter and her ID#.
Forms are available from the www.aauw.org Member Center . Select menu item Forms, scroll down to heading: Branch Forms. You will have to log in as a member during the process.
  • Transfer Members - A current Individual Member (formerly called Member-at-Large or MAL) is not new to AAUW, but a “transfer” to branch membership. Contact Helpline, helpline@aauw.org or phone 800-326-2289 to check the status of former members and Individual Members to determine their national dues.
  • The Association offers incentives for new member recruitment. Details for the Shape the Future and Give-A-Grad-A-Gift campaigns are available on the aauw.org website, or contact the Helpline, connect@aauw.org, or phone 800-326-2289.
    • Members who join through Shape the Future events pay NYS dues. Branches must submit the Guest/Referral Form to the Association along with the Dues Remittance Form for New Members.
    • Give-A-Grad-A-Gift recipients receive a free Individual Membership. Recipients may join a branch by paying state and local branch dues. Note that NYS has chosen to waive the state dues for a new GGG member.
