Take advantage of this Association membership incentive to increase
your membership by planning a program that will appeal to women
in your community.
People joining at an AAUW sponsored community event can take $10
off Association dues. Or they can join with a friend and split the
Association dues saving almost $20 each. Meanwhile, branches earn
one free Association membership for every two new branch members
recruited on the spot. Branches also earn one free Association membership
for every three new Individual Members (Members-at-Large) recruited
on the spot or after the activity.

New York State Membership Grant
The state offers a $75 grant to each branch per year to help branches
recruit new members. (There are no state dues for Student Affiliates,
Graduate Students, and new graduates for the first year they receive
a free Association membership through the Give a Grad a Gift program.
Consider a branch discount or waiver for students.)
Your branch is eligible for this grant by holding an event or completing
a project designed to attract new members. The NYS MVP can supply
information and an application form.
