The 2009 AAUW-NYS Leadership Conference was held July 10-12 on the main campus of Hartwick College, in Oneonta, NY.
Several wonderful presentations were given during the weekend, and some are available here -
- Donna Seymour talked Saturday morning about the many communications options available today - traditional and new.
- Terry Hartmann gave a wonderful overview of the importance of audits, what they should contain and some suggestions for getting one done.
- The "Poughkeepsie model" for the $tart $mart program was dynamically presented by Sharon Clarke.
- Sunday morning Nancy Mion spoke passionately about Public Policy - her presentation and script are both available here.
- Donna spoke again Sunday morning about the various options for online branches - some are actually branches while some are members in other branches banded together for a particular project.
- Joan Monk magically spoke about membership issues as they relate to fairy tales - most enlightening!
- Peggy Kelland led a workshop on strategic planning. The resulting SWOT summary is available here.
More presentations will be posted later!
Let's start getting techie! Ruth Wahtera and Susan Holland were kind enough to set up a Facebook group for those interested in the Hartwick weekend. If you're on Facebook now, join the group!
