It's Her Future. Do The Math.

According to the National Science Foundation, women represent
46 percent of the total workforce. However, they only represent
25 percent of the technology workforce and 10 percent of the nation's
top technology jobs. Despite the success of women in diverse areas
of the workforce, studies show that many women choose traditionally
"female" occupations. Research suggests that these patterns
begin while girls are in elementary school.
In an effort to reverse this trend, the Ad Council and Girl Scouts
of the USA have partnered to launch a new PSA campaign, entitled
"Girls Go Tech." The campaign aims to encourage girls
to develop an early interest in math, science, and technology and,
ultimately, maintain that interest as they mature to ensure a more
diverse, dynamic, and productive workforce.
This campaign supports Girl Scouts' continuous efforts to make
adults, educational leaders, corporations, organizations, legislators,
and the media aware that they can help foster girls' interest in
math, science, and technology, ultimately increasing opportunities
for women and bolstering the economic future of the nation.

Go Tech web site.
