AAUW as a College / University member please let
us know. We will get you a packet of information
to help you approach the school.
This will open up membership doors
for your branch and also for many future graduates by
helping a campus to educate women to the possibilities
for future assistance.

Welcome Members, Guests, Students and Institutions
Since 1881 AAUW has worked to improve education and opportunities for women and girls. Starting when women rarely attended college and on average were paid only a quarter of what men made to today when more women than men attend college but still make only a quarter less than what men make, AAUW continues to support programs which advance women’s opportunities and to support women scholars and research which studies the continuing need for programs to meet the needs of women as they develop their lives and careers. We continue to work closely with educational institutions and students and welcome their support.
AAUW includes both institutional, individual and student memberships. Educational institutions which have at least a two-year degree-granting curriculum and are regionally accredited are invited to join AAUW. For information on benefits, costs and how to join us, click here.
Individual students are invited to join as student affiliate members. Some campuses have student groups which work closely with local branches (We have branches not chapters.) For information on benefits, cost and how to join us, click here. If you have difficulty locating a local branch, please contact me.
To our branch members: You are the key to recruiting students and colleges and to making the membership worthwhile for students and institutions. Please check the member resource section of the Association website for information on making contact with colleges and universities and their students.
