Branch Meetings - Second Wednesday unless otherwise designated, September to May.
Open House on Sept. 22, 2008, at 7:30, with Smithtown Historical Society as co-sponsor, at the Frank Brush Barn, Route 25. The speaker is Natalie Naylor, retired Hofstra professor, on "Long Island's Connection to the Nation's Presidents."
Other Meetings
The Smithtown Area Branch promotes equity for women and girls, and Education as the Gateway to Women's Economic Security. We raise money for the Legal Advocacy Fund (a wonderful Book/Author Luncheon) and have a great Donor's Club for the Eleanor Roosevelt Fund of the Educational Foundation. We support community groups (Habitat for Humanity, Suffolk County Coalition Against Domestic Violence), participate in NYS AAUW Convention, atttend District 6 events, and enjoy friendship with women who share concerns for our AAUW mission.
