CATCH THE EXPRESS

Updated: March 24, 2010

Welcome!

AAUW Manhattan is coming to the close of its third year and the new Literature interest group along with Film Discussion Group and Great Decisions were educational with lively discussion.

Our members are enthusiastic about our branch and continue to support the Education Fund and the Legal Advocacy Fund

Two of our members visited Africa in 2009 and they have graciously agreed to prepare and present to us the details of their trips.

The Clothesline ProjectŠ is again scheduled for April 13-16, 2010 (details upon request) and our members have collected T Shirts, Clothespins and Markers along with donations to contribute to this event.

Seven members volunteered for the annual EYO Conference at our new venue, Mount Saint Vincent College in Riverdale. EYO hosts seventh grade girls for the day exposing them to career opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). Seven members of AAUW Manhattan volunteered for the day along with giving individual contributions towards the success of this conference. The day, March 20, 2010, was nothing less than gorgeous and the conference went well. All were pleased with the results of this year long planning project.
