OUR HISTORY
Since our inception in 1960 our members have reached out beyond the Islip Branch;
Members were instrumental in starting the Islip Recycling Program
The branch represented AAUW for 25 years on the Boards of Suffolk County Coalition Against Domestic Violence (SCCADV), Victims Information Bureau of Suffolk (VIBS) and Women on the Job (WOJ)
Islip has had three members serve as NYS President and many others who served on the NYS Board
We spearheaded five Sister-to-Sister Conferences
We assisted in eight Gender Equity in Education Conferences
