Welcome to the Fairport Area Branch (FAB) of the American Association of University Women.
FAB stands for FABulous and we are fabulous. We are an active group of women from diverse backgrounds, perspectives, professions and ages. We enjoy being part of a community of educated people who speak out on vital social, economic, and political issues in a spirit of good will and collegiality.
Fairport Area Branch covers the Eastside of Monroe County and Surrounding Area of Webster, Penfield, Fairport, Pittsford, East Rochester, and Victor.
Our branch was established 1970 as the Fairport Branch. In 1983 the name was changed to Fairport Area Branch to reflect the larger geographic area we covered. In 1990 the Packet Boat emblem was designed by one of our members as a symbol of the canal villages and surrounding areas.
The Fairport Area Branch meets monthly from September through May. Programs are chosen to explore issues affecting women, girls and the general public. The Branch is dedicated to developing programs of interest to you. We stay abreast of the key issues that need attention in our community, and nation wide.
